Randomly Melbourne

Pictures on last holiday random outing~ long time ago stuff~ oh well, good to show off some picture of Melbourne hahaha

Went to city for dunno what~ it end up more like lepak around + have 'group meeting' plotting a trip~

First, we are tempted to go to Menya because the shop is emptied..... this shop is always packed and to see it empty seems sinful to not take the chance and go in eat without sharing table with someone else hahaha so there we are in the shop~ Vanya's Mine
Both soso~ shud have order noodle.... the pork is over cooked...
Agedashi tofu!! still nice My second favorite japanese side dish at the moment :) (takoyaki still my fav!)

We stroll around to digest our lunch, dunno why many people admiring the graffiti at this time of the day (around 1pm weekdays.... there's so many senang people in Melbourne! why? no need work?)
Among so many graffiti, this one my favorite :) Continue walking~ Then suddenly saw this... So LV city store is here.... walk pass/tram pass it soooo many time, never realize it's LV (only notice the building is nice....) some church~ More church~ (it's located opposite of the other one) How's trees look like during winter :D another few workers curi tulang~ eh aren't people wearing suite as if they work for big coorporation suppose to be still in the office at 3-4 sth? why all walk around the street lepak like us?

Went to Royal Arcade because it's beautiful place
Went in one of the shop that sold a vast variety of small small unique stuff~ Houses~ Wish i can buy a set~ though it has no use but very nice to look at!! v. expensive too :-( Lot's of neko-chan, perfume bottles This one sooo dedicated made! It's the mirror table that a girl have in room! see the perfumes, lipstick, watch etc? soooo pretty!! even got a picture frame and jewelery box with extra mini jewelery inside~ It's very very small, about the side of you hand, see same big as that bear leg behind~
I love stuff like this!! if i have $$ i would wasted a huge amount on stuff like this~ Love the merry-go-round~
Finally, who drop her purse on the ground? Giant purse~ my friend used to think it's bun until i told her it's a purse... usually there's people sitting on it, finally i was able to take a pic without somebody butt on it~

Chadstone 2

Went to Chadstone... again.... near our house mah~ plus the bus that go there can be take right in front of my house too, no need walk all the way to bus loop.... dunno since when... bus loop seems soo far away... i avoid going there whenever i can... For some unexplained reason, Vanya fall in love with Country Road... dunno why she like Country Road, or more to, i dunno why everyone seems to able to buy something from Country Road so often... yea most of the clothes are comfortable and it's trend is simple design but you could get those t-shirt or blouse at cheaper price at any random cheap brand. A simple singlet that we could get for $10 cost can simply cost $60 in Country Road. Anyhow, Vanya just love it and it's her MUST GO shop every time we went Chadstone.
If i really want something from country road, i would go for it's bags and shoes. This one definitely worth spending the money on cos they are very comfortable and nice leather~ Dunno since when Vanya have raise her spending limit... and she got herself a Country Road shoes $90 if remember correctly~ ok lah not bad, it's comfortable shoes~ You can try get a bargain when Country Road is on sale, their $399 boots can become $299 during sales, but that kinda depend on your luck cos usually they don't have your size or the style you really like is not on sale~ For me, usually the one i really like is also the most expensive deh T_T

OO and this time i remember to snatch picture of the new part of Chadstone that Be haven't see, the luxury part~ that area is very bling bling shinny~ and it's not something that people like me can spend on... at least not until i work and earn my own $$ + save enough to buy~ and when i do, i want COACH!! hehe~

Didn't take picture of Coach, Tiffany and Burberry~ Jimmy choo cincai lah, i can never wear and would never wanna wear shoes by him, that heel too scary... As for the bag, 不是我的菜~ now like to 'admire' stuff from Coach and Miu miu~ motivation~ hehehe~ Among all those shop Gucci and Miu Miu shine the most~ you can't really see well from this pic but that Gucci shop really shinny~ esp at night when the light is on~


Have lunch at Wagamama. It's a pricey not so authentic, Japanese style restaurant that we would never go usually cos it's just seems not worth it, probably get nicer Japanese food elsewhere~ but cos they have special promotion now, we went there~ long Q! the two male waiter super not efficient... 看了会生气type~ obviously not enough training as there wouldn't have a Q if they are more efficient.

Special of the day, noodle + juice or wine for $12
My stir fry Udon... forgot what's it call edi.... but taste... special... a bit sweet and a bit sour... quite nice~
Vanya's forgot what udon as well, this one nice!

We think the 2 guy sat next to us, which we think are gay come after us, when our udon come they were looking at menu, so yeah our food is like 'free sample' for them~ can 参考~

juice~ lime, apple and watermelon... dunno why watermelon is not red though~

Overall experience: Not bad, but i won't paid the normal $16 for that one plate of noodle, so good on us they have this offer....

Btw, i notice, ang mo can drink wine and beer with any sort of food they ate at any time! the most awkward one is go yam cha, and they order wine... urm... sorta ruined the atmosphere hahaha~ my impression yam cha have to order tea mah, otherwise mana got cha? cha = 茶 which mean tea~

ps: the gay couple got themselves red wine :D we were thinking of getting wine too at first but... umm nanti mabuk pula since i don't drink hahaha~

Foods and Melbourne

Due to exam, i have save a lot of $ since i hardly step out of my room, no go out = no spend $, so i have extra budget to treat myself to some good food :D manage to persuade Vanya go 败家 with me~

Saw a blog mentioning a few good restaurant/cafe so decided to explore it, something that is NOT Asian and Italian~
Mrs Parma, located at Lt. Bourke st. (Vanya acting as 路人 there)
It's a bar restaurant, so people go there for good beer, we went for the food.
The drink is order at the bar. This one just lemonade, Vanya never been to this sort of place (me neither) so she decided to follow me on whatever i order....
TADA!! the food, the round round one is Moroccan meatball, not nice that meat ball, as for the pizza looking thing, it's chicken breast, pizza style, unique eh~ taste good too~ cost around $23 this one, standard ang mo restaurant price lah, serve along with salad and chips~
Vanya's BBQ parma. Round one is onion ring~ Doesn't look like big portion, but it's very very full, both of us almost have to crawl out when we finish that meat....

At first Vanya was complaining why the salad and chips not serve as one per person, now we thank god they are not... we can't even finish that 2 bowl~

We sat there for very very long time, cos in the end we are soo full that we have to force ourselves to finish the meat, our $$ ah~~ Almost all customer are ang moh~ and we ate so slow that almost everyone that come in later than us had already finish and left.... the table next to us have already serve 2 different group of customers....

When we finally left, we decided to go for a walk to digest the food.... feel really bad walking with a almost bursted stomach, our plan to shop around the CBD ruined..... plus it's raining =.= so we decided we shud 'hide' in Myer or David Jones
saw this Japanese restaurant, with lot's of 招财猫 in all difference sizes~There's more inside the shop~
Chocolate!! and bear!! been in melbourne for so long and i have yet try out the chocolate from this shop~
Went to Myer's basement... pile of burger cushion~ this one hard to sell off i suppose, saw it since i was back in Melb early this year... lot's of people saw it will "ahh burger" then go hug, hug, then put it back and walk away bah hehehe~ also got Vitamin one~ frankly i prefer Vitamin one cos the fure nice and very springy and soft to hug~ but too springy not as useful as the burger one, prob will exile to the side of bed that vitamin~ burger on the other hand, u can sat on it, sleep on it etc~ since it's flat~ only no good thing is that vege, cheese and meat is a bit hard~ shud use sofer material~ Yes Vanya 'invest' in one... lining up paying for it... I love browsing at Basement cos for some reason most employee can't be found, even finding a opening couter to pay also tricky~ all employee too busy tidy up the mess people make when they try on clothes or skim thru pile of discount item~ Hence it always look messy~ well they purposely let it look messy maybe~
Starbuck again :D it somehow become our favourite 'resting leg' place + satified our desire to drink~ cos it's not available other place in surburb....
Flinder street~ no we didn't go home late, it's just it get dark earlier during winter, this is just past 6.

Tim Burton Exhibition

Monchacha walk into ACMI and went to Tim Burton Exhibition. Don't know who's Tim Burton or think the name very familiar? Well he's the producer + director of that horrible Alice in the wonderland 3D. Didn't watch that? well am sure you watch the old Batman, Batman Returns, Nightmare before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate factory, Corpse bride etc... (Lucky i do like his other works, otherwise a bit @#$% paying $14 to go in) They sure put a lot of effort to the door. The exhibition is still on until October sth, we went very very early.... was intend to go NGV but end up going this one cos we thought it's limited time or something.... well it is limited time lah but it started at 24 June and we went at 29, quite early.... wonder why i accidentally stumble on this and knew about it...
Got batman's car on display there~ Entrance to the exhibition~ from this point onward, no camera~ Quite an interesting exhibition.... now know why Alice is a disaster for me... he can twist any nice fairy tales... his work... his way of thinking.... quite weird....

Most of his film, notice the main character represent himself a bit... curly curly hair... act weird... his style... His drawing, organs tend to come out, notice all the women got pointy breast.... make you wonder what the hell is he thinking, esp his early work, why a teenager think like that? I like a touch of mysterious in his drawing, like the one you see in Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse bride. There's a lot funny one (if you ignore the organ coming out part). Vanya and i spend a lot of time looking at his work one by one.... that we are overpass by everyone... must annoyed a lot of people for blocking one picture so long hehehe~ paid edi and purposely go liao, didn't look carefully and enjoy ourselves will feel sorry eh~

Overall it is interesting exhibition to go, can spend around 2 hrs there~ one of his work, big balloon hanging outside~

Esp like this Robot boy (if remember correctly) from his book The Melancholy Death of Oyster boy & other stories, said mum and dad is freak out when mum give birth of him. Complain to doctor why he has no skin and have aluminum and stuff instead.... turn out cos the mum been having affair with kitchen appliance.... seriously... what is he thinking... well this poor boy kena mistaken as rubbish bin many time... hence the picture above... even got soket eh~ to connect to power~

Also went to Screen world, probably good for people interested in film and stuff, show you all da history, even got game to play, from very very old ancient pacman game machine to iphone. You can do the Matrix thingy, the famous dodge bullet act here, can email your own 'film' to ya email account if you want.... don't dare go in be siao zha bo lah, to embarrass, esp got lot's of people looking hahaha, we look at other people do it :P
This one very interesting, all the figure is stationary deh, but when very shine white light is on (disco effect type) + the spinning of the table, all the figure look as if it's moving. But look at this one make u @_@ also after that cos of the light. Love this one! shadow show that create monster effect deh! that's me and Vanya, if we move around we look like monster, with saliva dripping around. This one not our best shot, got another nicer picture but a $%^# guy walk pass and ruin it T_T (F***!)
Federation square.... somebody feeding them, darn annoying these birds.
Dunno why got camp fire.... that 2 person is not exhibition stuff... just random people happen to sit there and shivering there ehehe~ They sure look very very cold.... (this one normal dress, those mini skirt or short pant girl with no legging or stoking is the gila one!)

Went for dinner at Dessert house (place that is not famous with dessert)
My coconut milk sago drink (after drink this baru i buy that sago thing in the last post cos feel like wanna try DIY) Vanya's lemon teaVanya's char kuew teow My baked cheese rice :D erm... they should not have use red pasta source.... i prefer cream version... cos i want the baked cheese flavor more, not the tomatoes.... taste okay overall~ got one big piece of pork fillet inside, can you spot it?
Ticket and booklet for the exhibition, the wooden horse not included, hehehe just wanna put it in cos it look nice with them~ that's my necklace~
Buy 2 postcard as souvenir, esp like the baby one... he said "am too young to think about money, love, sport, sex, questions, poison (or whatever that skull mean lah)"
