告白 Confessions

最近很少看电影，尤其是日本的，这个是因为看到微博很多人转这个，看评论的放映都很不错，据说是已经入围奥斯卡外语片提名，就看看。


故事一开始，在学期结业日，女教师森口悠子（松隆子）在教室向学生们宣告了一个惊人的消息：她将辞任教师一职，而数月前在学校泳池溺毙的4岁女儿爱美的死并不是意外而是班上学生的蓄意谋杀，犯人就在37名学生之中。

故事还蛮黑暗血腥的，是女老师的复仇记，仿演着社会阴暗面，提醒大家不要忽视青少年犯罪，不过所谓的血腥不是生化危机，僵尸什么的那种血腥，是一部看了心情会有点小压抑的～

对于女教师的行为，并不觉的对还是错，毕竟在那种情况完全理解她对社会绝望的感觉，生活对她十分的残酷。电影拍摄的手法也很好，非常的推荐这部，好想看看它原作～ 这电影是改编自新人作家凑佳苗的同名推理小说，唉～这里没卖吧。。。

最后，我很在意最后那句那句“开玩笑的！”，直觉觉得是死了，那句开玩笑是指他没有重生的机会～ 算了，还是跟我的直觉好，感觉那一切以后这个解读好点，不然对其他人不平啊～

Avatar (3D)

Wanted to watch this movie back in sibu, but can't find anyone to go with me T_T so yeah i watched it very very late, thank goodness they still showing it in 3D here muahaha and i dump $$ to watched it 3D. Love Village cos they have student price for 3D unlike Hoyts~

Anyway didn't find this movie particular good until everyone praising it and yada yada~ at least it's not the movie that will make me go watch again for the second time nor i ever wanna download or buy the DVD for collection. It's provide good one time visual effect sensation. Gotta watch it in 3D otherwise you just gonna waste it. This whole movie is about it's visual effect, the soundtrack~ something to enjoy~

Me not particular fond with the story there, fairly predictable plot there but the whole story somehow make me think about our country. Perhaps someone should really paid to those iban warrior in Sarawak to go watch this movie to wake up their fighting spirit in them with the quote "they have send us a message that they can take whatever they want but we would send them a message... That this! This is our land!" and stop been used by those selfish !@#$ in the politics. But of cos let's hope their brain are still capable of good judgment and not end up head-hunting us Chinese there. (my mum said those iban if they were gonna fight, they somehow will first attack us Chinese since we are the most different from them =_=||. ) oh well back to the movie...

Frankly i don't really enjoy 3D... make me @_@ after have that glass on for too long and also ang moh head bigger, the glass does not fit well leh, uncomfortable~ still this is a movie good to watch lah if one is looking for something to watch.

Alice in the Wonderland

Ahh.. it's been more than a month since i last update this blog, almost abondone~ anyway will try to update it more often now that am in Melb. First post, a movie review~

Watched Alice in the Wonderland 3D with Vanya yesterday, grr.... Hoyts don't have special ticket for 3D movies, spend $20 for it T_T


Anyhow, Disney never have bad graphic or music for their movie so u can expect the good graphic effect and music for this movie but i won't say the same for the plot itself.

This movie should really be called Alice in the Wonderland 2 instead since it's not the original Alice. The Alice in the movie , is 19 years old and accidentally return the Underland which she thought was always just her dream and there she is told that she's the only one who can slay the jabberwock, the Red queen's dragon.

mah, the Vanya like the bunny, the one who supposely to be constantly holding his watch and said "am late am late" but he didn't do that in this movie... I love Cheshire more! hehe~ The white queen kinda like some siao za bo and her hand always up.... dunno why....

Anyway, still a relaxing movie to watch, just don't really think it's worth spending extra to watch it in 3D lah.

2012

Another day out with Vanya and Claudia in Chadstone :P Been planning to watch this movie since long time ago now the chances~ watch during weekend is more expensive >__< caused cannot use the usual discount ticket.... one movie cost me $14.50 T_T but anyway i have a good time so it's worth it.

This movie eh, don't really have much storyline going on there but oh well not like me is anticipating the story from it. The special effect of the movie is superb, satisfying viewer wish of seeing the whole world collapses by earthquake, flooded by lava, washed by tsunami :P The movie doesn't dwell much on the facts of the matter, choosing to throw out some slightly related scientific term such as earth core heating up, solar flare, yada yada... don't mind all those scientific thingy, just watch the movie with ur brain empty and enjoy the sensation of seeing the world destroy cause u know when that did happen, we tiny human in this world can never get to witness it as we probably got 'Kaboom' at some point of the time if that ever happen in our lifetime, while still dunno what's going on~ so let's enjoy 'the world' destruction there :P

As for character in the movie, eh not much feeling ahaha all i know is this person die, that person also die, die die die, but the main one of caused survived, along with the one he most desperately wanna save.

The time traveller's wife

I went to watch this movie just because i don't wanna stay at home sauna-ing. It had been dreadfully hot these few weeks, these summer sure gonna be dreadful in Melbourne cos for the past 2 years even if we do get 34-35 degree in Nov, they seldom last for whole week, this is insane~ (ps if the weather forecast said max temp is 35 then it probably 38/39 edi in reality)

Anyhow, these movie got quite unique plot. It is the love story about a man who have a genetic disorder that caused him to time travel unexpectedly. (i wonder which of his nenek moyang got this gene ah? and i would wanna see the the DNA for this gene, seriously time travel, even Doraemon need the drawer to do so) but anyway, it's kinda unique eh, to have this idea. Thanks to that time travel he's meet clare, who he married later, for few times when he time travel back to the past and they eventually fall in love. The whole story revolve around the relationship between him and Clare with Clare eventually saying "It's hard being left behind. I wait for Henry, not knowing where he is, wondering if he's okay. It's hard to be the one who stays."

Henry (the main character) somehow pass that gene to his baby causing Clare to have miscarriage but they eventually do have a baby girl. The story don't have an absolute happy ending lah but it's not bad.

The movie is a bit confusing at the start since you dunno what happen just yet, it's equally confusing for the main character as he also dunno what year and where have him time traveled to. The movie is not that excited to watch since it doesn't really have a climax, he whole story just revolve between the relationship of the couple, not really a movie for people who enjoy action/ adventure/ twisted unexpected plot kinda movie. It's just pure romance story which is very nice for me to kill my time in air-corn cinema, mah i jst want air corn from other place other than McD and library.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

I have wanted to watch this for long time! There isn't much nice movie on for this holiday {no i will not watch Harry Potter, there's no way the movie gonna be good when they squash a dictionary thick book into 2 -3 hours! and i lost interest in HP ever since Sirus black die} So anyway back to the topic, most of you watched this movie way ahead of me, everyone mention transformer in their FB status! making me sooo envy cos am still stuck with exam back then!

Rush to watch this movie as soon as i finish exam with Vanya on Tuesday. Ah~ the cars, the transform is as cool as ever and only in Transformer we would all get "kyah~" over a truck hahaha, in reality nobody would said their dream car is a truck lah! Optimus prime and bumble bee has always been the favorite character for all of us who watch transformer in our childhood. Like my cousin said i would prefer Arcee go with Sam instead of the twin. The twin is cute but i still prefer cool haha that 3 motorcycle is sooo cool! and meh! why bumble bee voice box still rosak after 2 years!! Paramount picture too cheapskate to hire voice actor for bumble bee?? Satelite Tv has been showing transformer, even though it's disgustingly translate to chinese but i do watch some episode cos there's nothing interesting showing on other channel and i sort of used to bumble bee can talk.

There's no much have to say for the plot since transformer never really have much interesting plot, even in Anime. It's has always been Decepticon attack, Autobots fight back. We all go watch because we wanna see some hot machine in actions on the big screen plus ALL the music in the movie is really good!!

Definitely a movie worth paying to watch on the big screen!

Star Trek

Hmm... so after multiple time of "Ee i wanna watch too" jealous feeling rose up whenever people come to me and said Star Trek is good and how i should watch it, i went off to spend another $9 on movie today and it is indeed an enjoyable movie to be watch, esp if you enjoy space fantasy type of movie. It's $9 cos i got this "crack the code" thing last week when i went to watch Angels and Demons. The thing is offer to all Village Cinema member when we watch a movie there, some sort of coupon to keep u coming back and spend trick.

Frankly, i dunno much about star trek, i know it's existence and how it had been a great tv series, movies, animes etc but i just never bother to watch it. The series is dated back to 1960's - 1970's, old series are usually well hard to motivate me to go watch unless am really got nothing to do and have too much $ that i wanna go buy it. This sort of old series usually hard to find pirated bah~ It's classic, probably worth to collect or spend $ to rent it but dunno let see my mood this holiday, i might just get myself to go rent it maybe~ darn all those member fee, darn mafan~ wonder if library got it... old movie also eh sometime give me odd feeling haha it's like watching those indian movie on friday and saturday afternoon~ but it is those movie/series/anime that really make u feel, technology really didn't make much different to them eh, sure the effect is so much better now but sometime the actor and scipt back then is so nice that it didn't make you feel this is so ancient, here is refer to MacGyver hehe a series me and my cousin madly watch during one of my holiday in Nz. (aiyah off topic again)

Back to the topic, eh since i didn't really have any memory of star trek, am sure i got at least watch one of the film/series/anime before but just no memory, well anyhow, mean i won't compare this to the old one. It is absolutely fastinating to watch travel in space sort of movie, it remind me of Macross. That enemy ship called Narada or sth sure look alien enough and match those final boss aircraft feel (some random though: aren't it very mafan to build??) All those botak quite nice looking leh~ somehow this movie, there's no character that i would feel hate, or is it there's no time for u to feel hate since the plot progress so fast, it's the life and death moment, every second is crucial.

I know most of you like Spock, but he too 'kayu' for me hahaha i like how this 'kayu' and hot blooded combi though (by this i refer to the friendship between Spock and Kirk) I like McCoy character the most somehow.

Some after movie thought:
Because of that time travel that change the past, then did it create some sort of parallel world which in other world kirk's dad didn't die, kirk still a hero and old Spock disaspear in his mission and went MIA, or the whole thing just change so now Spock and Kirk still meet and can become friend because of the future Spock...

The actual Romulus at this time space has not destroy but Vulcan has so aren't this change sth again, Romulan now can also know about that supernova that gonna destroy them in future or is it another world future? complex hahaha~

Some time this time travel concept seems complicated esp when it involve space. It somehow make it feel like there's a parallel world both with different future because of the people from future that come intervent with it.... like that Scott, suppose his the one that come out with whatever formula right? but now cos that future Spock, it become like Scott know that formula because future Spock show it cos at that time he haven't figure out that formula by himself yet mah, ai think too much here~~~~ also kinda wonder what happen with things and people suck in by blackhole....

Lastly, somehow that Uhura and Spock romance part feel so unecessary in this film -_-

Angels and Demons

I have been missing watching movie BADLY, it's been a month since i last went to watch the movie, all the test and assignment make me forget that there's a list of " i wanna watch" movie and meh~ i miss couple of them edi, they have been taken off the big screen, boohoo~ anyway i hurry go watch Angels and Demons while i still got time and mood anc chances.

Angels and Demons, well i actually do have that book back on the bookshelf at home, my sister got all 4 Dan Brown book when i was still in form 3 or 4 bah, cos i remember she reading it during her uni summer holiday but at that time i am busy with other books. When i wanted to read it, my brother borrow it and took it to KL -_- and when the book is back i found many New love + i was a bit sick of english books edi and so my reading pace been gone down..... ( I am one of those if fall in love with a book i will read it days and nights, can even skip meals and sleep and finish it off in 2-3 days, now that passion is gone, am sick of words edi....)

I have thought i have yet touch that book at all (since i don't have memory of reading it) until i was in the cinema and saw that image of the word "Illuminati". Owh, i did read 1/4 of it, some faint memory returned to me as i watched the movie. I would rate the movie 4/5! I enjoy the nice technology shown and all the old churches~ this movie don't really have any handsome and pretty or flashy action and gunfire battles but i love the sense of mystery how he link them and seeking for the path even if i know the fact is half true hahaha

Since memory return a bit i do remember the movie is different with the book lah, at least i remember it didn't start that way but oh well i still like it. The plot is very well explain while they run around and it's amazing how technology can do this days.... they actually shot the St Peter in Sony studio, it's not at the real church itself, and check out those building, people in old days are trully amazing and artistic, and they don't even process the technology we have nowadays yet they can build such amazing things. Modern building is either boring rectangle with glass or some odd shape with glasses. All the murder to the pope are ahem~ gross.... esp the one assortiated with air.... earth one well gross too but cos too gross the movie didn't show that well so air one.... spooky when thinking about it.... that 2 death make the fire and water so much common.....

Oh and for this movie, Vanya go with me and hehe that's girl is regreting it cos she don't really get the movie. She prefer those light love/comedy type of movie bah, those which eh i normally won't watch them in cinema hahaha~ For her is like asking a western who almost never touch china history go watch some chinese old empire relate drama. For us who like Sci fi, have a bit of knowlegde on churches, science Vs faith issue back then etc... this kinda fact just sunk in easily even though some of them are not that true but for her it's hard. There's a lot of small small thing that she don't get and this along is enough to spoil the fun bah for her. 5 minutes into the movie and i can sensed that she wanted to say or ask sth edi hahaha but sorry, cinema here no subtitle and Angeline is those 'Jangan kacaus me' when watching movie type of person, so i completely ignoring her hahaha

Some people can multi-task and am very impress with them but not me, when am into something am concentrate on it. It apply not only to watching drama, movie and anime, it also apply when i am reading a book, listening to boring lecture or playing game. I think anyone who try to interupt me when am doing any of those activities all know that fact by now since i always respond with " wait or jangan kacaus" in irritated tone hahaha~

The only no good of this movie is jst before the truth of the whole thing gonna review, when the whole thing with illuminati gonna end that time got this one lame dialogue spoil it all for me! It is the part where that father scream "it's him, his the one with the gun" -_-|| the truth uncover there for me...

17 Again

okay i am wrong, i shouldn't go watch this when all the other school children also having their break, it's like attending some grade 9 and 10 children party =_=|| The cinema is very very full with most of them children >__<, children that all crazy over Zac Efron gosh! Can't watch the movie in quite and enjoyable way when a child keep comment there, but anyway not a totally bad ass movie but it is very much like the coming Hannah Montana movie ---> not for old people edi hahaha but still nice to watch lah, relaxing movie ~

The story is about this popular high school senior Mike who is a star athlete headed straight for a college scholarship but he decides to give it up to settle down with his high school girlfriend Scarlet cos she's pregnant. (hmm the popular guy and girl setting for western teenage story all like this one, it's either football or basketball and the gal always cheerleader -_-)

Twenty years later, an adult Mike finds his life is not exactly what he expected. He and his wife, Scarlett is having a divorce and he is living with his best friend Ned and his career at a pharmaceutical company is at a stand still, and his relationships with his teenage children are nonexistent. Basically as bad as a middle age man's live can get lah. After getting passed up for yet another promotion at work, he returns to his high school to reminisce over his basketball awards and the life he could have had. While he is reliving his past, he is approached by a janitor and shares with him how things were so much better when he was 17.

As Mike is driving home from the high school, he sees the mysterious janitor standing on the ledge preparing to jump into the Los Angeles River. Mike rushes out of his car to rescue him, but when he gets there, the janitor has vanished. What Mike doesn't realize is that he is about to fall into the river and turn into his 17 year old self again..........

Super predicatable ending yesh but man i like his friend and his relationship, hehehe~ you will know what i mean if you watch it :P Ragardless, this kinda show how easy going me is, can enjoy any movie as long as it not super louya till i wanna throw out. I saw the poster on Shinjuku jiken coming soon, I WANNA WATCH!! Aus is sooo slow but oh well as long as i get to watch~

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Heh~ Be would be very familiar with this as we both used to talk about it when we admire the books for hrs in Borders without buying anything. Even though i don't have much interest in reading the books but i kinda wanna see how's the movie like and well it's quite typical romance movie bah~ I got the member offer for Village and watched it for $8 so quite worth it bah. As usual i went on those no people hour so the cinema was kinda empty and i enjoy taking 3 seat to myself, 1 for putting stuff the other 2 eh to enjoy 'lying' there watch muahaha

It is a nice relax movie to wacth to kill off a boring afternoon which i can be certain that i won't study at home at that hour. I haven't read the book so i dunno how much they changes it but i certainly do enjoy looking at super expensive brand stuff hehe, check out those clothes and dresses!!

Eh i kinda lazy to write the intro of the plot so i include the trailer as usual lah, the trailer tell u enough hahaha and it's job is whether it can get u to watch it or not mah~

海角七号 (Cape no 7)

I watched this cos my 'wanna go for a movie' desire is not fulfilled due to yesterday rain. So i was watching this instead. Many of you would know about this movie as it has become so popular in Taiwan. The storyline is really simple yet touching.

I love what that had been wrote in those 7 love letter in the movie, it's really beautiful~ Most of the actor that cast this movie have little acting experience while some of the supporting roles were filled by non-actors and it's impressive how it doesn't really give you the feeling of " that dude cannot act" like how we sometime feel from Taiwanese drama. Another thing i like about this movie is how well it shows the local style and life of south Taiwan village, really like 茂伯 in the movie though he's not a loving character, but i especially like how he scolded people in Taiwanese and always wanna to be part of the people that perform on stage. This is mainly due to my love to hear people scolding or criticism sth in dialect bah haha cos more 'feel'~ I also like all the small joke scene they throw in, such as the police father injury hahaha~

The things i don't really like is the love between 阿嘉 and 友子 (tomoko) cos it's really give you the feeling of "what is all that about?", kinda bizarre and sudden development there~ It's do give me feeling of they have sex cos both of them kinda have crush on each other and they are both a bit drunk hence perfect moment to throw in the one night stand thing, i don't feel any hint of romance there~

I also don't like Tomoko's character. (not the one in the letter) It's understandable she is frustrated in many things for the situation she's in, (i might act like that too) but when i watched the movie i feel more like " what's wrong with this b*tch" hence have a bit negative impression on this character.

Nevertheless, It is a nice slow pace movie to watch, the music in the movie is nice too :P

아기와 나

Another movie from Vanya's HD. This movie is sooo cute and funny about rebellious 18 years old guy, Joon-Su who end up having to take care of an unknown baby wearing the name tag "Han Woo-ram" who was suddenly found in his shopping trolley + a letter that to Joon-su as his father!

There's a lot's of comedy in the film as he try finding out who's the mother for the baby, try to abadnon him and how he finally start develop feeling to the baby and try his best to be a good father.


Both the baby and guy are soooo cute! It has a good ending hehe~ won't leave u any unpleasant impression on 'hmm!!!'. The story line is well, very predictable but a nice youthful comedy movie + got handsome + cute baby can sure keep our eyes 'glued' to the screen till the end of the movie lah The only complain i have for the movie is the 'baby's' voice, should have choose some other cute voice mah~~

The heroin of the movie is quite cute as well, soooo straight forward in her way of express her love (//*__*\\) and her pajamas sooo adorable

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

This is a fantastic movie with great storyline and certainly deserve all the award that it has won.

The film tells the story of Benjamin Button, a man who start aging backward and his extraordinary life. I definitely recommend you watching it as it kinda demonstrate life in a nice perspective.

死神の精度 (sweet dream)

I actually watched this at home but eh that pirated dvd got a bit meh~ at the behind there so i kinda skip a chapter or two and see the ending but today Vanya lend me her external that also happen to have that movie in it, so i took my chances to watch what i have missed out heh~

This movie may start up as a bit hmm well not really something that action or comedy movie lover would like, but it do have very interesting storyline and heh~ i better don't spoil the whole movie here for people who intend to watch it. The best way to introduce the story would be me include the trailer i found, so enjoy the trailer! i personally recommend this movie if u don't mind a bit of 'story' movie, after all this movie is adopt from the book with the same title. I don't denied the reason i actually wanna watch the movie is cos Takeshi Kaneshiro is in it + am curious with the title of shinigami and wonder how the story would be~

(ps: i like the song in there, i think i have or heard of it before cos the rhyme is soooo familiar! hmm or is it there's song with similar rhyme? )

赤壁 2

Okay i watched this movie in the cinema with my sis and cousins during CNY (seems ages ago). Got people belanja me watch haha, even though i didn't watch the first sequel, i still get the story without a problem. Anyone who know the "Romance of 3 kingdoms" would somehow have some idea with the story, the only tiny problem is you dunno who play what character. Since my cousin watched the first one, i got someone to ask.

(me lazy go google for the red cliff 2 poster, this one will do lah hehe~)

The movie itself is well make, the actor are all well known for their acting skill (mostly) and come on how bad the plot for the romance of the kingdom be~ so no complain about the storyline, might have a bit of the feeling of "nonsense, this doesn't occur etc..." if you are familiar with the original story but then again this is movie, of cos they gonna modified it a bit to make it 'original' or nicer and it's unadvoidable they will sneak in a few female and romance in the storyline just to make the story nicer even if the character never went to the battle ground. (some of u might know who i meant). What does mater is the Scene is great and u don't feel like shooting anyone on their bad acting so what more to ask from a movie~

Burn after reading

Due to boredom at home, decided to comment on this film that i watched at home before i came over to Melb. Because the film sort of have good reputation - been top in the Box office (somehow) and label itself as comedy and have great bunch of actor on the casting list. Perhaps it's not really my cup of tea as i don't get much of the story not to mention the humor in it .


The story began with a CIA analyst, Osborne Cox who quits his job at the agency after being demoted because of a drinking problem. His wife who wants a divorce with him, at the counsel of her divorce lawyer, copies many of his personal and financial files off his computer and onto a CD, but the lawyer's receptionist accidentally leaves the disc at Hardbodies, a gym.

An employee of gym, Chad obtains the cd and after seeing the content, assumed it is highly classified information. Initially he only wants to give back the CD to Osborne in hoping for a reward but after a confusing phone conversation, Chad and Linda (crazy women who want $$ for cosmetic surgery, desperate women that one -_-||) decided to blackmail him...

The whole story line give u a bit of the "huh?" kinda feeling with lot's of affair in the marriage, CIA which i have no idea what they are doing and a desperate women which i was wondering why she didn't get kill, not a movie worth for spending $$ to go to the cinema for and not a movie worth for u to buy the DVD or whatever to collect~ don't even have any nice soundtrack that interested me~ Frankly, it's only selling point is to have excellent actor such as George cloonney, Brad pit, Tilda Swinton etc playing in it~ you can watch it if u can get those black comedy and found the silliness in the character to be funny

Ghost town

Well i have no idea why this movie is named ghost town for there's no mention of a ghost town. But it do relate to ghost in funny way. The story is about this Dentist who gain the ability to see and communicate with ghost after a near death experience for approximate 7 minutes during a Colonoscopy and is then revived.

Since then the ghost began to pester him to help them with their unfinished business so they can move on. Frank (one of the ghost which u know how he die at the very beginning of the story) is one of them. The rest of the story is up to you to find out, not gonna spoil it for you here.

The story itself is rather interesting to watch with a little touch of romance in the story.
