Tim Burton Exhibition

Monchacha walk into ACMI and went to Tim Burton Exhibition. Don't know who's Tim Burton or think the name very familiar? Well he's the producer + director of that horrible Alice in the wonderland 3D. Didn't watch that? well am sure you watch the old Batman, Batman Returns, Nightmare before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate factory, Corpse bride etc... (Lucky i do like his other works, otherwise a bit @#$% paying $14 to go in) They sure put a lot of effort to the door. The exhibition is still on until October sth, we went very very early.... was intend to go NGV but end up going this one cos we thought it's limited time or something.... well it is limited time lah but it started at 24 June and we went at 29, quite early.... wonder why i accidentally stumble on this and knew about it...
Got batman's car on display there~ Entrance to the exhibition~ from this point onward, no camera~ Quite an interesting exhibition.... now know why Alice is a disaster for me... he can twist any nice fairy tales... his work... his way of thinking.... quite weird....

Most of his film, notice the main character represent himself a bit... curly curly hair... act weird... his style... His drawing, organs tend to come out, notice all the women got pointy breast.... make you wonder what the hell is he thinking, esp his early work, why a teenager think like that? I like a touch of mysterious in his drawing, like the one you see in Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse bride. There's a lot funny one (if you ignore the organ coming out part). Vanya and i spend a lot of time looking at his work one by one.... that we are overpass by everyone... must annoyed a lot of people for blocking one picture so long hehehe~ paid edi and purposely go liao, didn't look carefully and enjoy ourselves will feel sorry eh~

Overall it is interesting exhibition to go, can spend around 2 hrs there~ one of his work, big balloon hanging outside~

Esp like this Robot boy (if remember correctly) from his book The Melancholy Death of Oyster boy & other stories, said mum and dad is freak out when mum give birth of him. Complain to doctor why he has no skin and have aluminum and stuff instead.... turn out cos the mum been having affair with kitchen appliance.... seriously... what is he thinking... well this poor boy kena mistaken as rubbish bin many time... hence the picture above... even got soket eh~ to connect to power~

Also went to Screen world, probably good for people interested in film and stuff, show you all da history, even got game to play, from very very old ancient pacman game machine to iphone. You can do the Matrix thingy, the famous dodge bullet act here, can email your own 'film' to ya email account if you want.... don't dare go in be siao zha bo lah, to embarrass, esp got lot's of people looking hahaha, we look at other people do it :P
This one very interesting, all the figure is stationary deh, but when very shine white light is on (disco effect type) + the spinning of the table, all the figure look as if it's moving. But look at this one make u @_@ also after that cos of the light. Love this one! shadow show that create monster effect deh! that's me and Vanya, if we move around we look like monster, with saliva dripping around. This one not our best shot, got another nicer picture but a $%^# guy walk pass and ruin it T_T (F***!)
Federation square.... somebody feeding them, darn annoying these birds.
Dunno why got camp fire.... that 2 person is not exhibition stuff... just random people happen to sit there and shivering there ehehe~ They sure look very very cold.... (this one normal dress, those mini skirt or short pant girl with no legging or stoking is the gila one!)

Monash!! why? the 60cent!!

Can't help myself but wanna curse Monash. We International student, ur biggest revenue, pay u soooo much fee per sem, why got 60cent there?$1xxxx.60.... 你怎么好意思要！ u think u r supermarket meh, vegie and fruit weight and price as per kg is it, got 60cent~ which of ur lecturer or tutor got salary as $xxxx.20 is it?

Ah~ bpay... i hate u~ money gone in few click~ am heartbreaking at the moment cos just paid that lump sum of $ for my sem 2 fee....

Random outing

Another ancient forgotten post... post it cos finally upload the picture Went to the new DFO that day and after lot's of walking, decided to take a break at Starbucks. Strange how Starbucks can only be found in CBD Melbourne.... not available in any other suburb.

Okay, i was intended to do this when i receive ya parcel and the postcard from HK but u know typical Angeline got lazy... lazy to upload picture~ Anyhow it's never too late and never too much to say this again - Thanks Be, for the bloody bunny and the postcards, it meant a lot to receive something, even just a word from an old friend, miss u dearly, miss all our random outing together, miss our couple-like msn and sms time, wish u are here with me :(

Junk food

Angeline's love sweet stuff~ hence i tend to buy + try out lot's of them! I can run out of any sorta food except sweet stuff... bad bad...

This is from Laurent's (very nice patisserie place!), i don't remember what is that rectangle one call edi but it's quite nice, the round one is orange tart, love it :P not cheap but easily sien deh so small piece like that is enough to make my day
My lovely cup at the back :D This one is sparkling grape juice, somebody recommend it to me, saying it's good, well it is good, not too sweet, taste like Ribena + CO2 =.= hehe~ not much different with the sparkling juice we have at home, it's not expensive $3 sth but it's just not something we would buy when at Coles or Woolworth cos it's in glass bottle aka heavy to carry when we do our grocery. I also buy another apple one later, will upload picture when am not lazy again~
Lipton ice tea!! um... no ice inside and i don't drink it cold... don't even wanna buy cold one if possible... so dunno why they put 'ice' there. This one very very small bottle, free deh, one day i walk pass campus and saw them giving this out, the guy there said "take as many as you want" so we all 不客气 take a lot muahaha~ one flavor each~ got lemon, peach and green tea + lemon, ahem~ paiseh ah, the lemon one i drank edi when i took this pic~ There's 2 other flavor (white tea and mango) i think but they are not promoting that so no free 'sample' Now the bottle become my 'water bottle' since it's cute + easy to stuff in bags.

Macha ice-cream!! This one not bad :P but i don't mind if the macha taste can be a bit more stronger.

Japanese snack!! good grace am not in japan, otherwise i would pour all my $$ into snack. Ate the pink one, nice but a bit too sweet... Just notice it got 期间限定, the green one is macha, also 期间限定, yellow one is honey, got another not in the picture, draw a pancake... pancake flavor? will take a pic later and upload it next time... Gosh, the package so adorable i tak sampai hati ate it!! cos once i ate it have to throw package, otherwise i could summon tonnes of ants to my room!! The candy one is coffee as can see in the pic, white one is milk, blue one is my favorite! soft drink candy!

The milk biscuit... made in malaysia... but i never saw that in Malaysia leh? new product? the biscuit is nice, smell very sweet, but taste milky not sweet~ The box is nice but throw edi as soon as i finished it... The small package thing is green milk tea..... 马玉山 brand from taiwan... eh drank one pack, a bit sweet... maybe i should add in coffee and make my own green tea latte instead next time.... Finall, DIY sago with coconut milk... i like this drink... so i decided to buy one and try DIY myself see how it turn up.... still haven't try it out.... taiwan product again and it said "新好男人， 偶尔也该下厨房” so should i get a guy to make it instead?

Party World

Hmm... this is really very long time ago punya outing~ few months liao baru upload the pic wakaka (pia飞) Anyway, Lala and I been wanting to try out other Karaoke places but too bad most of them operate at night only T_T... So we decided to give Party World a go. (not my first time there...)


We went on a weekday afternoon - cos cheaper and also we are free on that time~ Party world is charge on per person basic and have a minimum spending requirement, best for 3 person... but we don't have another friend in common to go with T_T (this requirement a bit @#$% lah, what if couple wanna go, bring a 'light bulb' along?). Then you can order foods and drinks up to the value of the amount you paid, aka if they charge $18 per person, you can order food and drinks value at $18, any extra $ exceed you would have to pay lah, sound nice? yea well, foods and drinks are usually expensive and not really worth it if you want me to purposely pay for it. Forgot how much is that small room cost since it's such a long time ago thing (2 months+) but the overall experience just okay lah~ have lot's of song and are up to date but u sorta need to know Chinese or good in Chinese input to be able to search, they really need to hire someone to sort their music library properly, some song are sorta 'hidden', you 'click' on the artist 'folder' and could never find it, but if you enter the name and search one by one, you might find it.

The food, I order the noodle, lala order the bento box, the drink i choose soft drink, lala choose milk tea. Foods are okay, eatable, but milk tea leh... ehem... i knew it... this sort of place, never serve nice drink, even if they do, the amount is a bit.... so am sticking with soft drink type. My fried noodle~ kinda small~ Nice when still hot, so better eat it fast Lala's Bento, asked the waiter what sort of meat, he sorta "eh urm it's stir fried pork...er..." turn up it's 卤肉 lah! not bad~

Dunno is it getting old edi or what, we sorta less interested in sing K, less desire of "i wanna go sing k"

It's freezing out there~

It has been awfully cold for the past few weeks that thanks god am in my semester break now, i cannot wake up for early class or do homework + study in this freezing room~

Frankly, am been constantly freeze by this coldness that 15 degree is warm for me now.... (lately max temp is 13, low temp around 4 or 5). Anyhow walking down the street, i notice there still many girls who walk around with short (really short just like the one you would wear in 40 degree days). Are their Hypothalamus totally screw up and they don't few hot and cold or what? tak sejuk ke? You only get winter for 2-3 months a year and Melbourne don't even snow, cold weather like this only last for a week or so (then it get normal then the cold is back again kinda crazy weather), so why waste the chance wearing + show off ya winter clothes now and save the summer clothes for the actual summer?

Been hibernating again these few days whenever i can. Winds are my lullaby... i can keep on sleeping and sleeping whole day long (wake up once in a while playing fb games then back to sleep), thank goodness once again that's it's holiday and i have nothing that i need or can do (beside go out spend $).

On side note, it's snowing on the mountain!! wish i got $$ to go... why is ski trip so expensive? T_T Checkout the photo here~ The Age

Gosh, i miss the world cup atmosphere back in malaysia since malaysian gila bola even though our own country football sucks, tak apa we support other ang moh country~ haven't see any bola since after form 5. (no mood for bola when i can finally touch a tv and satellite remote controls)

Here, well Australia are in the league, teaming up with Nz i think but don't think anybody care. It's AFL + Wimbledon Open season, i think aussie care more on that 2~ After Ricky Martin's, i haven't been listen or get attract by FIFA song since (esp i had been in 2 nation who into a different type of football for the past 4 years), so here's this year version.

泡沫之夏

Exam is a week away, haven't pick up the mood to study 'spartan style', really need that in order to make sure i get through this...

Anyhow, no mood study = will sort of surf here and there, and then i saw this 泡沫之夏. Wah~ i read about that they gonna make drama on this few years back when i was waiting for the third aka last book for this novel. My thought still the same, won't watch or even if i watch i probably don't have the patient to watch it till the end. Nevertheless the name still attract me to click in to see the trailer and stuff haha~

泡沫之夏 was one of the first romance novel that i read. Honestly, am very slow in stuff relate to love or relationship, i almost never thought about it despite watching so many drama and movies. Love was an alien back then hahaha which kinda explain why in my teenage life i gila stuff like ghost story, crime novel, sci fi novels, movies and game. I watched love drama like winter sonata but i never think of relationship at all, dunno what am i so busy or so occupied with back then.

It was the boring life in NZ and the new people i met asked that make me start thinking about the fact i never think about going into a relationship with someone. But even that, the fact am single and still busy and occupied with stuff now shown i still don't really think much about it... oh well, it really require the right timing, right person, right feeling for the chemistry to happen... as for why am i so busy and occupied? i seriously dunno, my day just gone in a flash without doing much... like read novel, read manga, write assignment, do homework, play FB, watch anime/movie/drama, go out with friends, go grocery shopping, uni ... a day just gone like that....

Anyhow back to topic, i said it's one of the first romance book i read cos i buy several books at that time (first time go buy edi buy few books in a go hehe~) so i don't remember i read which one first~ didn't realize this book gonna have a sequel so i fall in that trap and end up have to read all. (am one of those must see the ending sort of person, i start up a book, if interested i will continue read and i must know the ending or i will keep think or dream about it once in a while) But then also thanks to that few books, i end up addict to novel, which lead me to find out i can read them free online!! haha but sort of hard to find lah those kind of website, esp good book + popular website usually need u to be their VIP member or they don't have ending there. My personality, cannot tahan that! Now probably not easy to find a website that let u free reading all 3 books of 泡沫之夏. Probably lock the climax in the VIP area. Can go google if u interest in reading it. Beware of china website though, cincai click will bring in a lot of ad-ware to your pc.

Now i read variety novel, but the most i read is love romance story cos i can finish one up first (in holiday i can finish 4-5 books a day) and they don't make me think. Crime/sci-fi/mystery story make me think, some time even make me go google up history and stuff on the event or person mention. Research for my assignment pun tak ada as passionate as that. Which also why i read them more slowly and less often. They are also harder to find free one online. Romance story got tones of free website for that and since i only read Chinese romance one, even easier. English book got better copyright protection... After i start 泡沫之夏, for a while i read a lot of youth romance story, plot and setting all so similar but still can dream dream and read happy happy. Now am sien with them already hahaha one big factor that cause that is 17/19 years old are very far away from me now. Spoil my dream bubble if i come back to reality plus am one of those when like it very much will read/do tones of that thing until i sien with it. Just like how i sien with ghost story back then. (or the Bookworm series, Famous 5, Nancy dew etc) Keluar topic again~

泡沫之夏 is a triangle love story between a girl who is an orphans with 2 boys, one of them also an orphans and was adopted into the family that adopt the girl and her brother. The other boy is the successor of a giant group. sort of like a noble too the family, well respected and rich + good genes aka good look lah. Umm... the whole setting well u know just the fact darn good look edi very not realistic haha good looking some more + talented then really... Which is why it's best remain in novel/comic. Having a real human version always spoil my dream hahaha i already have a blur imagination of the character living in me, seeing real people acting them spoil that imagination. Just like how twilight + it's sequel spoil my Bella and Edward hahaha~ so am not watching and not comparing for my own happy imagination sake nah, tak payah spoil my dream that i had at my 18. Nevertheless if you wanna watch it, it should be okay cos the girl eventually end up become an artist and so is the boy (the one who also the orphans). The boy become a big star edi while the girl still gambate, in the progress will involve a lot of other 'artist' which is why they would pick a lot of not bad looking males and females into the drama.

Also as the character are singers and actor in the drama, it's 剧中有另一场剧 (drama inside a drama) kinda feel, taiwan people way of speaking cannot bring me into that drama inside a drama as much as china, hong kong and western one. Even when watching the actual drama i can feel the 'it's an act' kinda feel edi, it don't touch me in my soul as much as other. The only time when taiwan drama become enjoyable to me is when there's old actor inside who speak well or when they incorporate some dialect. This drama original novel is written by China people if no mistake and character all so dreamy dialect will spoil it doubt they incorporate that in.... so even not tempting.... (i know not tempting but write so much~) I like the novel. Dunno if i just read it now would i like it that much as u know how when ur heart feel different, things feels different too. But i read it when my heart love this sort of story so i remain Liking this. The book i only owned the first vol which the cover is the image below, the other 2 book i discover the wonder of free novel website hahaha, 3rd one esp i read it when the author began posting up on the web for limited time that moment, so i read the free not perfect edit version (ie got some word error, typo etc)

Random curiosity

Ok this is sort of me been boring or random or whatever u wanna put it. This thought come to me as i was playing games on FB while hearing my housemate (that #$% litter bug boy) and friends yelling, cheering, moaning in their game....

English words as we all know, don't have specific tone in reading it, the tones only varies with our emotion at the moment, most non-English speaker (ie English not ya first language) aka people like me and you, we sometime mimic them, pretend we are so American or British in a way. Which lead to a confession (which be already know), i actually hate it when people esp if the person not even that deep in religious using the phase "Oh my God" in every situation (appropriate or inappropriate), have encounter a few strangers in campus or bus using it in 8/10 sentence she spoke, the person English pronunciation is overall bad except for the "oh my god" and every time that word come out it sound like the blonde cheerleader bitch which we all hate in the typical teen movies (where the ordinary 'ugly duckling' usually the winner that end up with the football team leader in this sort of movie while the bitch yell "nooo..." over whatever bad end she deserve sort of movie)

So whoever who read this and happen to discover u r the person i hate, here a suggestion (which of cos u can choose to ignore cos who am i to tell you what to do). In case u don't realize, there r word like "f***", "s**t", "d**n" as alternative, don't have to bring out God in every sentence, u can add in Oh in front of that 3 word too, or for girl "oh my" is good enough to exclaim ur surprise and shock in some case. It's getting annoying to hear "oh my God" over and over, esp if you not even English speaker, i rather u use "mother", "celaka" or whatever ur mother tougue day to day swear word u love to use.

End of side note, back to main topic, my housemate make me realise "noooo~" yeah~~~" "f**kkkk" "s**ttttt" "ahhhh~"etc all those swear word u mourn or scream out during 'excitement" all got same tone... hmm... why ah? not like in chinese word we got tone in pronunciation which is why in some case, same word, different way to read it give different, meaning in Chinese. Human natural?

Vanya's Birthday

Should have post this long time ago but always too lazy to upload the pic~ since it's kinda long time ago, last month i edi forgot what we did that day hahaha beside it's all about walking around, window shopping~

We went to waterfront city cos Vanya said she never been there (unbelievable... and she's here for 3rd year this year....) we wanna spoil ourselves and have some fancy lunch there.... but dunno which restaurant good + the one that looks good all italian... don't feel like having Italian food + i know places that offer nicer and cheaper Italian food. So we keep walking and end up in Habour Town shopping center. (Be u haven't been to this place, it's the place where they plan to build 'eye's of melbourne' kinda thing) Habour town would be very nice to shop at during summer cos it's kinda open air shopping area, not the usual inside a building kinda shopping center. Not very nice in winter i suppose hahah who wanna sambil shop sambil get blown by cold wind, not to mention it's next to the river connect to sea kinda place, winds are very strong there, no kidding man~ Shops there mostly DFO style, u can find bargain there~ i buy my new medium size luggage there :P Here's a pic i steal from somewhere on the net~
anyhow a bit out of topic~

We end up in Chilipadi, restaurant i once thought to be expensive cos the one open in melb center look so nice and it's next to those other restaurant that main course cost $20 and above~ It's actually just normal price (by melbourne standard), chain restaurant, how expensive it can be? Food there are quite nice, it's both malaysia and Japanese style. (not very authentic but still taste alright + they r quite generous with the stuff they put, got squid, prawn etc)

Very satisfying though we dunno why our luxury meal plan become ordinary food hahaha We shop around after that... we seriously think shop there should paid commission to me and Vanya for i once again discover we both have the talent to attract customers. Whenever one of us went in a empty shop with someone, not long after that the shop is bound to be full of people with peoples all come in one by one after us..... why ah? and it's not just one or two shop, it's every shop man! and there we were thinking oo this shop look empty let's go in see since i really don't like crowd. The more people it is in a shop, the more unlikely i am to walk in and stay long inside, unless i really like that brand and there's bargain to jump in for. So yesh we bring in crowds to every shop we walk in even though we didn't buy anything....

After some walk around, i feel that my second stomach was ready for second meal - desserts! Drag Vanya into Movenpick! Once again that shop is empty, not a single person inside, but after we walk in, bought our ice-cream and sat on a table, customers start pouring in! Umm... i kinda regret with the ice-cream flavor i choose that day hahaha thought of trying out something different and well it taste kinda weird... should have choose something more ordinary cos that's what Movenpick famous for~ umm... my hair look weird in the pic.... expected judging from the wind that day.... it's good enough that i don't look like Medusa here~ sigh~ i sure envy ang mo people with straight hair... their hair look so nice to manage~ even after been blown by wind they look so elegant (while we look like Medusa~)

We went back to city after that and walk around again~ forgot what we do after that hahaha just remember we walk past bourke street mall cos of this picture This shop very nice one, sell a lot of unique items~ expensive and useless stuff but there are collectors out there who willing to pour $ for it~ nice shop to look at :D
