Hardware lane

If you ever have a chance to go to Melbourne, you should never miss out having breakfast or lunch or brunch at one of the many cafes in Melbourne. Cos that's what Melbourne is famous for and i truly enjoy it~ coffee and food lovers :P

Hardware lane is a very small alley between building and it's one of the famous small alley full of nice restaurant and cafe. It's the alley next to Taylor's college, been walking pass there every single weekdays morning during my first year in Melbourne.

Bee kha's sister is going to start MUFY this September so she wanna go check up where's the college as well as the student accommodation. Walk pass the alley, discover there's quite some changes there, haiz.. times sure fly, it's good changes, notice there's few new cafe open up and also an yogurt ice-cream chain shop!!

Went in one of the cafe for lunch, this cafe is chosen cos it seems crowded, so probably the food and coffee gonna be nice? The cafe is very very small and very crowded, almost everyone there is businessman and women, all ang moh, except the 2 of us =.= cosy looking kitchen 01, this is where they prepare the coffee~ v. nice design~ but probably not that nice to use in asian country lah since u see the cabinet quite high leh, unless u got the height of that ang moh, otherwise the upper part will be vacant and collect dust deh, i don't dust coming down to my food leh!!

We order and share a quiches, quite nice~ except cannot eat the whole thing by your own caused it's make with cheese i think, so after a while u get very sien with that taste =.= lucky we share leh~ I would not miss out order coffee in a cafe~ very nice cappuccino~ the small round thing beside is donuts.... dunno why they give donuts, overall, the food is good, coffee is good but it's pricey, no wonder all working ang moh lah~ probably the one that work for big corporation... or the one that really enjoy life....

Didn't take picture of the Vietnam food we ate for dinner cos the food is just alright but the people that work there is rude and impatient! NEVER wanna go there again, Mekong is still the best!

Food!!

Ok, i admit, am very big fans of Japanese food and korean food too as long as they don't make it too spicy :P, or more accurately am big fans of food of all kind.... just that when i go out i eat these 2 type more since i dunno how to cook that 2~
Takoyaki!!

Forgot when but i think i remember where~ just forgot the place name..... This place is pricey + not nice, it look nice in the picture lah but seriously the ramen taste like any Japanese instant noodle i have at home!

This on the other hand is nice! forgot the place name but it's at Homesglen. Still Friends have the nicest and most worth korean food! this one mah~ nice lah but very few sea food inside..... eat till me and Vanya a bit beh song and we end up order another plate of meat! i know~ we are carnivore~ Would like to try the bbq there next time Muahaha can see the smoke of the food leh in this pic~

Korean BBQ

Me and Vanya been wanting to go for a Korean bbq since ages ago as everyone compliment about how Carnegie have nice Korean bbq and stuff

We finally find a chance to~ went there right after my class at 4, Carnegie is only one station away from Caulfield~ but we forgot that most place closed for rest for a couple of hours in afternoon and only reopen for dinner at 5pm =.= So me and Vanya went to Woolworth nearby to buy some stuff~

The BBQ is all you can eat type, there's 8 type of meat/seafood to select from. You also get rice, side dishes (side dishes are of randomly selected, depend on what they have to offer that day), soup (got 2 type: miso or the hot korean soup) and sushi.

One good thing about going so early is, you can go home almost smoke free hehehe~ won't smell like meat =.= ah~ meat~ our favorite!! hope i can go there again next time! but not that early lah, quite paiseh leh, some of their worker haven't turn up yet leh~

Emergency toilet roll

Random interesting stuff i saw in a store in south yarra~

Emergency toilet roll!! hehehe~ v useful eh~ went in toilet to do big job and only to discover u run out of toilet paper is one of the daily tragic that could or had occur to us before~ creative stuff~

Would have buy it as gift for friend if that toilet paper inside was not that poor quality. It's those very cheap recycle toilet paper we get when we sell our old newspaper back in home =.= and it cost $3 sth!! crazy! i can get a pack of 6 roll 3 ply high quality, got cute pattern, got nice smell deh Quilton toilet paper for $5 or less at sale!

Oh well, tak apa, take a picture then admire the pic will also do, i can jst take a box and handmade one if i want hahaha, using my old alarm clock box at home~ hehehe~ It's little useless stuff like this that make our daily life interesting :D

South Yarra

Target: South Yarra
Purpose: Enjoy life~
Time: One random Saturday morning + afternoon months ago~

South Yarra is one of the famous place in Melbourne for shopping and cafe~ Vanya and i been talking of going there to enjoy life there (waste time and money).

Meal 1:
Hot chocolate for Vanya, she didn't like it much because it's not real chocolate melted in~ we have been spoil by Max Brenner and Koko black~ taste like Nestle chocolate drink powder.... they shud have use Cadbury one... My cappucino~ very nice as the coffee bean is freshly grinned + the barista is good our shared main~ South yarra, all building short short deh~ Australia really have lot's of land, no need save space, but it also end up been annoying, cos everywhere then seems so far away when travel from place to place
Either you read it forward or backward, the place name is still call Navona~ :D

A park next to the church~ This picture will look nice if take during fall i suppose~ Nice building! if only if there's no Nando there to spoil the feel~

After lot's of walking around south yarra shops~ it's time for
Meal 2:
Forgot what did i order~ but the cake just soso~ getting a bit yuck at the end after sien with it Vanya order Tiramisu, bad! never had a Tiramisu that wet, literally can squeeze water out~ did they drop it into water?

Shared meal~ this one nice, the salmon inside taste so good!!
But why is it bun again! ang moh don't serve other stuff!! it's either salad, bun or chips~ where's the meat!!!!

Feeling unsatisfied because we want meat, we set on the journey for meal 3. @South Yarra train station

Meal 3 @ Oriental spoon! go for korean good, order meat only~ served with rice and side dishes~ korean ways~ v. nice~ a bit expensive too hahaha~ but shared again~ love that bowl of rice :D the meat!!! satisfied~ would be better if we didn't order rib~ very chewy~

Randomly Melbourne 2

在caulfield校园里的一棵树，很喜欢初秋时，一个周末不见，整棵树就变成红色的, 很漂亮~ 秋天是我四季里最喜欢的季节，不热也不冷，而且晴天多~
a fast food chain in Southland, like the interior design of this shop, like a home~ would like to eat in here sometime :P Huge bear i saw in Melbourne Central!! i want!!! cost around $66 now.... haiz.... if buy cannot carry home!! the tragic!!! the bear is bigger than me if i sit nxt to it~

They also sell Me to you bear
Love the bear!! Have always love bear, favorite doll has always been my bear bear, no matter how dirty they get hahaha (haiz... small kid that time didn't take care of it well so my earliest doll esp the bear are the most dirty one T_T cos favorite, carry it around and drop it around)

The Booth

Vanya said she need to book her end of the year go home flight ticket, so we went to boxhill to the travel agency that she knew, after finish getting shock by the ticket price, we went to The Booth for lunch.

Sat next to this display fridge, while we wait for the meal, we stare and droll at the food inside Umm okay lah from this pic they doesn't look yum... but the real one do look yum~ esp the 卤蛋~ My not very nice noodle, didn't finish it but darn full~

Some sort of vegie pan cake, dabao to become my dinner in the end since too full, taste alright, is like a dumpling that forgot to put meat~ :D got vermicelli inside~
Coconut milk with Sago~ Vanya's one is with red bean and mine with mango, shud have just order the regular one.... Mango umm... very complicated combination with coconut milk sago~

Men Legging

Some of you might be aware from my facebook status that I was shocked by my recent encounter of a guy wearing legging inside his short. Apparently it's not something new, man legging (or meggings) has been around for quite a while but it's a slow rising trends since not everyone look good in one... in fact it's really weird to see guys in 'stocking'~

I know, i know, you must have read from a lot other website or magazine saying how man has been wearing tight in history, people like Henry the eight, Shakespeare etc and superheroes like batman, Robin hood, superman etc also wear it but then again Henry the eight and Shakespeare are from around same time and same location, they wear a set that match~ Batman, Robin Hood and Superman has HOT body and they wear it in set too (part of their costume mah) so guys, if wanna wear it, make sure you match it well! Have seen way too much disaster examples on girls on the streets, NG match will make a nice outfit went from Hot to Bleh~ esp tights which tend to cling lovingly to any lump, bump or bulge and it's expose every single bit of ur NG part that people didn't normally notice~

The biggest NG thing about tight is people tend to wear it as pant! Geez! ever wonder why tight are call tight not pants, and why is it been sold in hosiery section of the store? IT'S BECAUSE TIGHT ARE NOT PANT! It's design to be worn as undergarment, which is why we call it 内搭裤 in Chinese. Wear it with a long shirts, short dress or anything that would cover the butt. There's a lot people out there that think the same, so many that they even have a tightsarenotpants.com and facebook group formed to show their hatred and i agreed with them. So if any guys opt to wear tight too, make sure it's not worn as pant, if u insist make sure it's for a good reason ie for sports or party, otherwise keep that look to yourself, the rest of the world are not interested in your butt. (really sick of seeing butt in uni~$)

Anyhow, if i must said i would rather see guys in skinny jeans rather than tight, if really wanna wear a tight can go for something that look less like stocking please otherwise it look so gay or ah gua~ (if you ARE one than ignore that comment). Whatever of those you choose, i still hate you (Esp if you end up looking good and slim) cos how the heck your (for guys) leg can be slimmer than mine!! you make all fat girl (including me and I'm not even overweight) sad!
