Just done my 3rd presentation of the semester this week, it's for equity market, it's an IPO presentation to the investor (other classmate), each group are assigned to a fiction company, so we need to, as a group, present to investor about our company and try to convince them to invest in us (ie buy our share). Next week, we will have an individual assessment where each of us will given fictional $$ to buy share and trade share on all the company in a fictional market. The company are all the one that we have heard during the presentation. (self present, self buy =.=||) It's a trading game where nobody gonna fail (unless u didn't come or didn't trade lah).
This group presentation is the most cincai, unprepared work i had done, our group have 5 people, 2 of them ALWAYS LATE!! We only decided to meet up when it's almost our turn to do presentation (since we happen to be the last group). During our supposedly 2 hrs meeting, waste half an hour waiting for people, another half an hour walk around find computer to use + stare at each other, another half an hour murmuring don remember what but pretty sure it's contribute 0% to the presentation. Then 15 minutes to plot our plan and demise~ am the first one to leave since i have another class after the meeting, not gonna waste time sit there face staring~
In the end we all decided to split up the work, ie we plan what content we wanna talk about first and last, then we divide the stuff into 5 part and each of us will just choose a part. We then go home to write our own script and do power point for the part we gonna do since in real presentation, you will just gonna present the part you in charge with, as long as u know what u are doing shud be okay, it's fiction company, all data are the one given, it's not the matter of how well u research etc, it's just on how well you convert that information in easy to understand way to people.
The requirement is that we need to hang in a copy to lecturer the day before our presentation + make some form of handout to classmate (ie ya potential investor). End up one of the LATE girl only send her stuff to the guy who in charge on collecting and putting all the power point together, on the morning of our presentation! then the guy only email us the full copy of power point an hour before our second meeting (we decide to meet up an hour before our tutorial so we can be prepared), seriously did they expect me to stare at pc every single second of my life? an hour before meeting = either we r in class or we are on the road, traveling to uni!
That 2 LATE person is LATE again, esp the girl, another half an hour! I didn't bother to read the slide of what other did, lucky i choose to be the first one to present so i don't really give a darn on what other do later, totally in the don't care, i trust u can do it mode. Then dunno what's going on to the mind of the 2 viet girl who did come on time during that final half an hour, they decided they don't want to print out handout to classmate =.= whatever, i remind them already. Dunno if there's penalty or not.... maybe not... cos no mention on that in comment part....
Turn out this cincai presentation did end up well :D Our group receive the least feedback from both tutor and lecturer. 3-4 sentence and all positive comment :D apparently they are very happy that we choose to emphasis on management capability first in our presentation (the part i do!! hehehe) and the fact the LATE girl put in a bit formula thing on share price into her presentation (they are pleased to see she put stuff we learn in course into presentation). We also didn't get criticized like other group did on the way we present (ie nobody is pure reading from paper, we all did make eye contact with ppl down there~) + we all lazy so stuff we present are v simple, we didn't even bother to take a look on that financial report hahaha, everyone else at least got mention a little~). Oh well, all i can said i have lot's of presentation luck lately, all presentation end up well, all are the one that get compliment muahahaha
There's another group presentation for equity.... same people again.... next time i make sure i come half an hour later!! You probably notice edi, i label that girl as LATE girl edi, don't care if it's rude or what, it's the first and second impression she chosen to give, dunno what's with her but if you gonna be late, aren't it a matter of polite that you at least call or msg one of your group member that you gonna be late? lucky we are darn patient, still wait at same place man, otherwise we might just angrily walk away and then send email to lecturer complain how she's didn't even show up etc~ (happily help her get a 0 for that assessment later) Anyway, all i can said is at least she did her work well and did turn up. Otherwise you can probably see a 3000 words post from me, cursing her hahaha~
Anyway off i go to spy on the market, before that trading game we are asked to put our bid on the capshare first~ need to check to make sure my bid still somewhere in the middle deh~
As most of you know, my birthday is on the same day as Halloween.
Got plenty of wishes from family and friends on the day in various way, facebook wall's is bombarded and filled with friends' greeting, i am happy + appreciated all of it. There's have been an series of misfortune happening to people around me and among it lost of a friend is the most shocking + sad (even though i wasn't that close to her + haven't even keep in touch with her for years). It is these sort of bad things happening that constantly remind us to appreciate everyone around us and be grateful what we have now. Its make me feel lonely to experience people/pets that we once so happily take picture with eventually gone. Despite knowing this is part of life and believing that they have gone to a better place, it's always feel so lonely to be left behind....
Okay enough with the emo moment, here's a picture to celebrate Halloween, Krispy Kreme 2010 Halloween special version donut, didn't try any of it, dunno should i said i grew up or should i said am getting old, i cannot tahan food that are overly sweet these day.... desperately need lot's of water to eat with it =.=, anyway it still cute to look at hehehe~ i got my favorite original glaze that day, it's the nicest one in my opinion, not overly sweet :D
Finally, thank you Be for the present, the envelope all torn up + sellotape when it got to the mail box =.= wonder what did they did to it hahaha (if u wondering why it's oct when u sent it late and suppose to arrive here only in nov, well cos i wrote this late and post it as earlier post hahaha time travelling!) Love all the hair clip and lilo and stitch is very cute :D always remember that quotes from the movie "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind, or forgotten."
