Hail in Melbourne

Is this another sign of global warming or what? Well we do have hail in Melbourne from time to time but that's usually at night during winter so doesn't matter much to us, just maybe 'encounter' a one or two ice on our way when we went out very early in the morning to attend an early class but hail during summer is a bit....

The day start off a bit gloomy and a thunderstorm and shower were predicted by the weather forecast. But thunderstorm in Melbourne is really nothing compare to the one we have in Malaysia and it only happen like 1/10 from the forecast, so really nobody is 'looking forward' to what thunderstorm, probably just a shower or two like usual.

Me and Vanya went down to the city to check up what's Moomba festival. Moomba is a festival that is held during the labor long weekend every year(not uni holiday =_=) and it's a shame to say this but yesh we have never been to one although we were in melb for so many years hehe~ aiyah who told them to held it in the start of sem, we busy buy book sell book and we still in holiday lazy mood, don't feel like do anything mah. Anyhow, we took a walk around the festival to see what they got, mostly play lah and ALL need $, we check things out, plot plot to see which one should we dump money in to play but our main focus is on the free music + firework.

It's burning hot at that time and we are starving. Non of the food offer there attract us + it's expensive~ typical festival price i guess. So we walk back to the city (since it's very near mah) to eat. After ate, we decided to walk around city first since it look like it's gonna rain, it's complicated weather, look like raining soon but the sun is burning~


We later walked into T2 cos Vanya wanna buy or teapot and cups so she can have her own tea time equipment at home. Then all of the sudden we heard raining but oddly loud. So me and the shop girls walk to the door only to see it's not rain, it's ice lah~ very unusual phenomena esp for me since there's no way ice or snow ever fall in m'sia and if it did i bet there's not much places in this world still suitable to live at that time. After 2-3 minutes the rain (water type) start to fall along with the ice and there come a very unusual strong wind, like typhoon swipe over the city and the sky get soo dark as if it's night already. Then within few minutes the street start to flood cos the drainage system could not flow the water out as quick as it falls. Many people running for their 'life' there, can heard siren here and there. Fireman, police, ambulance and fire alarms. Like a chaos. Those ice melt away pretty fast but we all kinda stuck in the shop cos umbrella is useless in that situation~ V.lucky! cos 2 minutes before it fall we are on the street! no fun man if get hit by those ice, very painful eh~


And it's also on that day we know.... melbourne city deh building many got holes or sth, water leaking in!! better don't go shopping in the city recently since never know if the stuff are soaked. Everywhere we go got leaking, Myers, Melbourne central, Safeway and Big W at QV close down, probably leaking too~ but of cos there's are some shop didn't kena lah. Now people know... which shop not good to rent hehe~

So there's goes the festival, it rain rain and rain there don't think anyone going to the festival even if it keep on as you can see how open air it is~ We are destined to not able to attend moomba....
