Book hunting~

The beginning of the new semester also mean it's time to buy books~ books are extremely expensive here hence i usually try to hunt for second hand book unless the price offer by the seller are not so nice or the book have new edition~ University is really good in forking money out of our wallet by constantly changing the textbook and most of these book are written or publish by the university's professor themselves~ New edition will mean the old one is out of date and can't be use T_T hence u can't even save $ to get second hand and when selling it have to expect selling it much cheaper than the original price T_T

This semester out of the 4 unit am taking, 2 of them have change the book to new edition but one of the book can also be use for another compulsory 3rd year subject that i will be taking in the future so i feel less heartache over spending the $ to get the latest edition. As for the other one, man i really don't feel like getting latest edition for it cos it's only use for one semester, plus the cover, the author all the same, i dunno how significant is the changes, need to check up with my lecture or tutor to see if the last edition will be good enough~

As for the other 2 unit, law and acc info~ i manage to get good deal on second hand and am extremely lucky cos i actually just text message to 2 people to find seller for the law book. The book was soooo new that i start wondering if she even study it, the legislation is 2008 version but i doubt there would be any significant different between 2008's and 2009's. The acc info book i actually found it in the uni's second hand bookstore and the price is shocking! $25.70! that's like the cheapest textbook i ever baught since i went oversea! The book is quite new as well and i wonder is it that there's some highlight in some pages that driven the price this low? I even flick through the book to try find any missing pages! I feel so unreal even after i purchase it cos that amount of $ probably could only cover the price of the good stationary u baught for study here, stuff are extremely expensive T_T, that's why i usually bring my own stationary from home~

Right now i wanted to sell my previous law book while i still can but hmm... it's mafan lah to have to post the note on and find time to meet the buyer~ I didn't sell it last year as i was thinking of maybe it will have some usage this year but as i look at the current year law unit text book, nah, the current big, heavy textbook probably cover the stuff more throughtoutly. Ah~ soo lazy to sell it~ but am afraid if i don't sell it now i can't sell it later since monash love chabnging textbook to suck the future student $, that's what happen to most of the old book i use, as soon as i sell it to the next semester student, the next next semester people are using different book edi~
